We dispense NHS prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and an efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly.
Repeat Dispensing
We can dispense NHS repeat dispensing prescriptions issued by your doctor. Ask us for more information about this service.
Medicine Containers
All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you ask us not to.
Please remember: Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children. Our pharmacist can advise you on safe storage of medicines.
NHS Unwanted Medicines Service
Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.
NHS Health Advice and Self-Care
The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments. We can also give you advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking or healthy diets. Self Care information is also available on our user friendly website: pharmacykwik.co.uk We can also direct you to other sources of advice and assistance if we cannot help you ourselves.
Patient Medication Records
Our computer allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. This helps us check for possible problems, such as interactions between medicines and will help us deal with any queries you may have.
We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality. If you want to discuss the records we keep, please ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Paracetamol Caplets 500mg (32 Caplets): contain the same active ingredient as Panadol tablets Paracetamol is one of a group of medicines called analgesics (pain killers) which help alleviate symptoms such as: Fever, Toothache, Back Pain, Headaches, Migraines, Join Pain, Arthritic Pains, Sore Throat, Ear Ache.

Directions:
These caplets must be swallowed with water.
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 1-2 tablets with water every 4-6 hours. (Maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours).
Children 7-12 years old: ½ - 1 tablet with water every 4-6 hours. (Maximum of 4 tablets in 24 hours).
Not recommended for children under 7 years of age.
Do not take Paracetamol for longer than 48 hours at a time unless advised to by a doctor.
Warnings:
Do not take Paracetamol Tablets if you:
Have ever had an allergic reaction to Paracetamol Tablets or any of the ingredients in the tablet. An allergic reaction may include a rash, itching, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue.
If you take more Paracetamol Tablets than you should:
If you (or someone else) swallow a lot of the tablets at the same time, or if you think a child has swallowed any of the tablets, contact your nearest hospital casualty department or your doctor immediately. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage.
If you forget to take Paracetamol Tablets:
If you forget to take a tablet take one as soon as you remember, unless it is nearly time to take the next one. Never take two doses together. Take the remaining doses at the correct time.

Each Tablet contains:
500mg of the active ingredient Paracetamol. The tablets also contain maize starch, colloidal silica, magnesium sterate and potassium sorbate.
Possible side effects after taking Paracetamol Tablets:
Like all medicines, Paracetamol Tablets can sometimes cause unwanted side effects. If the following happens, stop taking Paracetamol Tablets and tell your doctor immediately or contact the casualty department at your nearest hospital:
Skin rash
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
Difficulty breathing or swallowing
Known side effects are:
Effects on the blood: changes in the numbers and types of blood cells. If you develop bruising, sore throats, nosebleeds or infections tell your doctor who may wish to test your blood.
Tell your doctor if you notice or are worried by any of the side effects listed or notice any other effects not listed.
