Full Description

Quick, easy to use and chemical-free, the revolutionary Nitty Gritty NitFree comb is the most effective way to remove and destroy lice, eggs (unhatched lice) and nits (empty, hatched egg shells).

The NitFree comb removes and destroys 100% of all lice and eggs with its patented microgrooved steel teeth.

These special teeth run through any kind of hair smoothly and safely to avoid cutting or pulling the hair, and the teeth's rounded ends penetrate all the way to the scalp to remove even the tiniest nit quickly and easily, without scratching or hurting.

Nitty Gritty NitFree comb is a durable and user-friendly product, with no sharp edges, no batteries to replace, and no extra parts or attachments to lose. One comb will serve all the family and its tempered stainless steel construction makes it easy to clean and maintain. The materials used are the best available, and it's guaranteed for life. It also features a comfortable non slip handle making it easy to use in the bath or shower.

It can be used by all the family in the battle against the bug.

Key features of the Nitty Gritty NitFree comb:

Perfect Teeth

Nits are about half a millimetre long, and 0.2 to 0.3 millimetres wide. They are attached to each hair strand with a strong glue, and they are impervious to ordinary combing. But the NitFree comb's 33 microgrooved steel teeth remove and destroy even the very smallest nits without pulling, cutting or hurting the hair they cling to. No other comb can do this.

Mind The Gap

Those teeth are separated from each other by a carefully-calculated gap, which is smaller than even the tiniest nit. And their extra length goes all the way through even the thickest, most luxuriant locks, to remove more nits in fewer passes. Long and fine, or short and curly, the NitFree comb works equally well in any kind of hair.

Groovy

Every one of the NitFree comb's 33 teeth carries a spiral "microgroove". Look closely and you'll see they're shaped like tiny drill bits. Why? Because this makes it impossible for nits and eggs caught by the comb to slip out and escape when they're trapped between two grooved steel teeth. The teeth of a conventional metal or plastic comb will bend around nits, rather than gripping and dragging them off the hair surface.

But look at our comb under a microscope and you'll see the difference. The microgroove on each tooth works to pull a tiny spiral cutting edge through your hair. And the teeth are welded into the comb handle in a special process, which keeps that vital microgroove working all the way through your hair. It is devastatingly effective, breaking the hermetic sealing of the nits, to injure and destroy them without tearing or pulling your hair.

All nits and eggs that come into contact with the NitFree comb's microgrooving as they pass through the comb teeth end up being unviable.

It feels better, and it works better, than anything else you've ever tried. That's why we give each comb a lifetime guarantee of satisfaction.

Steel Appeal

The special stainless steel used to manufacture the NitFree comb won't rust or tarnish. Each comb retains its tough, stylish appearance even after prolonged immersion in water and exposure to the different chemical products - such as permethrins, decamethrins, vinegar - found in hair treatments. The comb is designed to be boiled for asepsis: ideal when the same comb is to be used for several family members.

Hot Tips

The end of each comb tooth is machined very precisely into the shape of a cone. The cones separate the hair gently and direct each hair strand through the blades without snapping or tangling. The tip of the cone is then rounded, so there is no sharp point to prick, scratch or bruise the scalp. Smaller children and older family members we have asked both say that this is one of their favourite things about the NitFree comb.

Can You Handle It?

Use the NitFree comb anywhere - even in the bath or shower! It won't rust or tarnish, there are no sharp corners or edges to poke or scratch you, and the comb's non-slip grips make it easy to use even when you're up to your elbows in soapy water. And it's comfy, which encourages users to comb deeper, more thoroughly and more often than they would with an old-style "scratchy" comb.

Directions:

Nitty Gritty Nitfree Comb:

Ensure hair is tangle free and apply preferred choice of treatment or hair conditioner (we recommend using Nitty Gritty Head Lice Solution)

Section hair and comb thoroughly from roots to ends with NitFree, making sure the hair is free from lice and nits before moving on to the next section

Clean comb after each stroke by rinsing under running water

Continue to comb each section, paying attention to the nape of the neck and behind the ears

Take care that uncombed sections DO NOT come into contact with sections already combed.

Warnings:

You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use
