We dispense NHS prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and an efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly.

We can dispense NHS repeat dispensing prescriptions issued by your doctor. Ask us for more information about this service.
Medicine Containers
All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you ask us not to.
Please remember: Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children. Our pharmacist can advise you on safe storage of medicines.
NHS Unwanted Medicines Service
Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.
NHS Health Advice and Self-Care
The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments. We can also give you advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking or healthy diets. Patient Medication Records
Our computer allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. This helps us check for possible problems, such as interactions between medicines and will help us deal with any queries you may have.
We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality. If you want to discuss the records we keep, please ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Avomine Tablets 25mg (28 Tablets): can provide up to 24 hours relief in one dose and is generally well tolerated and can be used by children from 5 years. It can also be used in the treatment and prevention of:
Avomine contains the active ingredient Promethazine. Promethazine is an antihistamine agent. It blocks histamine receptors in the stomach to prevent nausea and vomiting due to a number of causes. It also has sedative and other effects that may contribute to its anti-nausea effect.
(Other products containing Promethazine include: Phenergan).
Directions:
How to take Avomine Tablets:
Adults and children aged over 10 years: Take one tablet.
Children aged 5-10 years: Give half tablet.
Children aged 2-4 years: Give quarter tablet.
This product should not be used in children under 2 yrs of age because safety of such use has not been established. For the relief of travel sickness the above dosage should be taken promptly and repeated nightly if required.
For long journeys: Take tablet at bedtime on the night before you travel.
Short journeys: Take tablet one or two hours before travel.
Nausea and vomiting due to other causes:
Adults
One 25mg tablet at night is often sufficient, but two or three tablets are sometimes necessary. Alternatively, more frequent administration such as 25mg two or three times a day may be required for some patients. It is often not necessary to give more than four of the 25mg Avomine Tablets in 24 hours.
Children
In the above indications children over 10 years of age may be given the lower adult doses described above. Children between 5 and 10 years may be given half the adult dose. Tablets are not suitable for administration to children aged between 2 and 5 years. An oral liquid preparation is recommended in this age group. Not for use in children under 2 years of age.
Elderly
No specific dosage recommendations.

This product should not be used in children under 2 years of age because safety of such use has not been established.
This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery.
Avoid alcohol.
