All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you ask us not to.
Please remember: Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children. Our pharmacist can advise you on safe storage of medicines.
NHS Unwanted Medicines Service
Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.
NHS Health Advice and Self-Care
The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments. We can also give you advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking or healthy diets. Patient Medication Records
Our computer allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. This helps us check for possible problems, such as interactions between medicines and will help us deal with any queries you may have.
We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality. If you want to discuss the records we keep, please ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Cetirizine 10mg Allergy/Hayfever Relief Tablets (180 Tablets - SIX MONTHS SUPPLY): can be used to prevent and treat allergic conditions such as hayfever and treat allergic reactions.
(Please note that you may be sent a different brand to the one pictured - picture is just for illustrative purposes only).
This is the equivalent of ZIRTEK ALLERGY RELIEF TABLETS.
Exposure to pollen, pet fur, house dust or an insect bite can cause the body to produce histamine. The release of histamine causes allergic symptoms which can include rashes, sneezing, watery eyes and a running or blocked nose. Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg is a second generation antihistamine, which means it does not cause drowsiness in the majority of people. Cetirizine hydrochloride 10mg is used to treat allergic reactions and is suitable for people suffering from hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), perennial allergic rhinitis (a similar condition to hay fever caused by allergies, that continues throughout the year) and urticaria (swelling, redness and itchiness of the skin). Antihistamines like cetirizine relieve the unpleasant symptoms and discomfort associated with the above conditions, such as sneezing, itchy, runny and blocked nose, itchy, red and watering eyes and itchy skin rashes.
How to take 30 Days Allergy & Hayfever Relief Cetirizine Tablets:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: ONE TABLET DAILY
Children 6-12 years of age: ONE tablet DAILY OR HALF a tablet TWICE DAILY (Half in the MORNING and HALF in the EVENING).
These tablets are not intended for children under the age of 6 years.
Swallow whole with a glass of water. Do not exceed the daily dose.

You have ever had liver or kidney problems. In this case please consult a pharmacist or your doctor, as your daily dose may need to be reduced.

These tablets might make you feel drowsy; if you are affected, do not drive or operate any tools or machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Cetirizine Hayfever/Allergy Relief 10mg Tablets Tablets:
This medicine contains lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Alcohol should be avoided while taking these tablets since the effects of alcohol may be increased (e.g. increased drowsiness and lack of co-ordination).
Taking other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed.

Possible side affects of 30 Days Allergy & Hayfever Relief Cetirizine Tablets:
Usually Cetirizine is well tolerated, however, occasionally some side effects might occur which are: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, agitation, dry mouth or gastrointestinal discomfort. Cetirizine is a second generation antihistamine, which means it does not cause drowsiness in the majority of people. However drowsiness MAY occur with the first one or two doses.
If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, stop taking the tablets and inform your doctor or pharmacist.
