Ibuprofen Gel 5% (100g Tube): is a clear or slightly hazy, fragrance-free gel. The gel contains Ibuprofen, a proven anti-inflammtory painkiller. The gel is designed to be rapidly absorbed into the skin for effective relief at the point of pain. It's a penetrating gel for fast local relief of backache, rhuematic and muscular pain, sprains and strains and also for pain relief in common arthritic conditions.
Ibuprofen Gel 5% is easily applied and absorbed directly where you need it. Because the pain relief is targeted in this way, there is less risk of the side effects that can be associated with taking painkilling tablets.
(Packaging/Brand that you receive may differ from the pictured product)
How does Ibuprofen Gel 5% work?
Ibuprofen Gel has been specially formulated by UK experts in skin penetrating medicines, to make sure that the active ingredient (ibuprofen) penetrates through the skin and into underlying tissues. This is important because the skin normally behaves as a very effective barrier, preventing access by this route of administration.
Directions:
How to apply Ibuprofen Gel 5%:
For external use only.
Unless recommended by a doctor, medical advice should be sought about continued treatment if symptoms persist for more than a week.
Warnings:
Before you apply Ibuprofen Gel 5%:
Make sure it is appropriate for you to use this gel. Because Ibuprofen Gel is applied to the skin, directly over the painful area, there is less risk of the complications that sometimes arise when ibuprofen (or similar anti-inflammatory painkillers) are taken by mouth. However, there are certain categories of patients who may be at risk in rare cases.
Do not use Ibuleve Gel in any of the following cases without first seeking medical advice from a doctor or a pharmacist:
For your safety
Ibuprofen Gel is for external use only
Keep Ibuprofen Gel away from the eyes, nose and mouth.
Ibuprofen Gel is not recommended for use on children under the age of 12 years, unless instructed by their doctor.
Interaction between Ibuprofen Gel and blood pressure lowering drugs is possible, in theory, although very unlikely. If you would like more advice, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Where aspirin or other NSAID tablets are taken concurrently, it is important to bear in mind that these may increase the incidence of undesirable effects.
If Ibuprofen Gel is accidentally swallowed, contact a doctor or hospital straight away.
You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.

Ibuprofen Gel 5% contains:
